Fairfax appointed International Property Group to review the strategy for
the existing
premises at the Illawarra Mercury in Wollongong, NSW and to
assess the alternatives
of stay versus moving. Advice included the following:-
- Assessment of the existing properties at Keira Street, Wollongong
- Assessment of capital costs to renovate the existing premises and
establish whether or not there was an “add-value” to the capital asset.
- Review the O H & S issues in relation to the Keira Street property
- Review the Wollongong Market to buy or lease alternative accommodation
- Consulting and sales advice on the Keira Street property exit
- Assessment of the space audit analysis and future requirements
- Advise on lease negotiations, solicitors instructions and project coordination
of the move to Auburn Street, Wollongong
- Determination of a fit-out budget, project coordination, negotiation,
