• Provide a system to keep track of all freehold and leasehold interests Australia wide
• System to encompass all relevant and important details on each individual property, while notifying personnel of all critical dates

Action

• Conducted an assessment and review of the property portfolio
• Creation of Freehold and Leasehold Asset Registers separating properties by geographical location and zoning type
• Critical data on each property was obtained and input into a data base developed specifically for Fairfax Media
• Relevant details on each property were specifically pin pointed, these differed between freehold and leasehold properties
• Notification of key dates, particularly for the leasehold interests held particular focus, including rent review dates and minimum dates for option periods to be exercised
